Voting Question: Mutual Divorce - need help?

My husband and I filed a petition for mutual divorce jointly in Pune Family court in June 2011. Since I am an NRI, the proceedings went fast and the court was about to grant the divorce. But my husband and I thought of taking some time to think over it. The next hearing was for oct. However i couldnt attend as i had to go to USA on a short project. Now another date is in Feb, 2012. I a still involved in my project and the deadline has been extended. It will not be possible for me to go to India for the coming few months. ' What will happen if I dont go in any hearing in future? WIll the court give its verdict? If so, will it be mutual divorce? What kind of verdict can the court give in this case? Looking forward to your help.... Read More »
